Since there was a public posting about the status of my web site and
orders, I thought I would reply publicly as there may be others who
have had difficulty reaching me.
I recently returned from a trip to find several many thousands of
pieces of email awaiting me. All but a few were spam. The situation
with spam becoming unbearable, I worked with my ISP on installing
filters as well as rerouting email to my home (instead of my place of
employment). Although the testing we did made it appear as if all was
well, the testing was only done from within the domain of the ISP. It
appears now that no other email was making it to me.
My ISP has been gracious enough to spend a lot of time recovering the
'lost' email from backup files. Over the next few days I will go
through the over 10,000 pieces of email and respond to those who have
written me. Please give me until the weekend to get through it all and
respond. If you have not heard from me at that time, please email me
personally at: pianorollstuff@stpmn.com.geentroep [delete ".geentroep"
to reply]. This email will go directly to my home, bypassing the
filters, forwarding, etc.
Unsolicited commercial email (spam) will soon put an end to email as
a viable form of communications if left unchecked. Please, _never_
purchase a product or service from these companies as it only further
encourages them to send out more. Also, please let your elected
officials know your feelings and encourage them to do something about
it that will work.
