For sale in New York City is a Pleyel 6' walnut grand piano, serial
number 176633 (made in 1924), with an Autopleyela reproducing player
system installed and approximately 200 Autopleyela and compatible
rolls, some made by Strawinsky.
This company, which used to be in Paris, made very fine reproducing
pianos in which the pneumatics actually played the keys rather than
the action directly. This one has a very nice fancy marquetry case.
All repairs to the piano itself can be made by the owner/seller and
included in the sale price. The pneumatic portion needs a complete
restoration with new tubes, hoses and pneumatic cloth. Parts and help
_are_ available from a contact in France who has rebuilt a number of
these.

This piano hasn't been played in quite some time, however, the pot
metal valves and air motor seem to be in good shape. Some of the
tubing is color coded, making it easier to re-do. If not sold the
player action will be gutted and the piano sold as a straight piano.
Shipping can be arranged most anywhere in the world.
