Unusual Flap Valves

The answer to Dave Clark is a resounding "yes".  Restore exactly as
per the original.  If it works, don't fix it.  The original design
obviously works so why change it.  Just rebuild with new materials
to the original design, and you can reuse the wooden discs.

Future restorers of this Hinze piano will have the benefit of knowing
what the original designers intended.  You owe that to posterity.
