University Declines Ampico Piano Donation
By Jeff Alterman

Is Cornell University out their gourd? I find it hard to believe that
a top university would even think of refusing to accept the gift of a
working AMPICO reproducing piano. Did it ever occur to them that it
could be a valuable teaching tool? I guess not. Hopefully some other
university will get wind of this and accept the gift of a fine quality
reproducing piano. Maybe Julliard should accept the gift of a fine
quality reproducing piano.
