Unknown Song on Fratihymnia Orchestrion Roll
By Willy van der Reijden

Hello everybody, Recently I took up the work of my Midio128 interface
for the Frati-Hymnia orchestrion. Those who missed this item can have
a look at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Tech/mvdReijden.html

I scanned a roll with a song I should like to know the title of. It
would be interesting to know also who composed it. So attached is the
MIDI file that was recorded while the roll was playing.

Please keep in mind that a lot of redefining the MIDI events has to be
done. For now you will only hear the piano and some percussion instruments
playing. Those who use Cakewalk can also see the other instruments
that the Frati is playing in this roll. But for recognition the melody
will do, I hope.

[ Thank you, Willy. I'll place the MIDI file at the MMD Sounds site,
[ http://mmd.foxtail.com/Sounds/ The marimba waltz sounds to me like
[ a song from an operetta, maybe Spanish. It's a nice tune. -- Robbie
