Seeing the recent posting of a crank organ in church reminds me of when
my son, Jason, and his wife, Amy, got married a couple of years ago.
They decided they wanted hand-organ music instead of an organist.
They were married in a large Catholic church. COAA member Mike
Schoeppner, of Kansas City, assisted by playing wedding marches and
other classical numbers, on both a Jaeger & Brommer and a Raffin
20-note organ.
Both organs filled the church with music, and there were no "mistakes"
made. It is a great alternative for a wedding of someone interested
in mechanical music.
