Use Hide Glue, Not PVC-E
By Don Teach

I am rebuilding a player now that someone rebuilt in the 1970's.
The PVC-E glue is a pain to remove and I really wish the rebuilder
had used hot hide glue.

Hot hide glue was the original glue used and should be used when
restoring a player piano. Many rebuilders are now faced with a second
or third rebuild on older players. I made all new pneumatics for this
player. Any glue joint that may have to come apart should only be
glued with hot hide glue.

I got my glue from Craig Brougher and it is the best.
