Wurlitzer 150 recutting project completed
Hi all, You may remember my post from a few months back. We have been
working on a project to have the "Good Ole USA Carousel Music" series
recut. This is a style 150 Wurlitzer band organ roll.
Years ago, Harvey and Marion Roehl contracted Tom Meijer to arrange a
series of four rolls of well-known American tunes. These rolls became
the basis for a series of recordings that were sold. Later on, the
Roehls did offer these rolls for sale, in a very limited number at
around $100 apiece.
I have personally wanted this set of rolls more so than any other
Wurlitzer 150 rolls I can think of. After looking for a set to buy for
years, it became obvious that the only way to own a set of these rolls
is to spearhead a recutting project. And that recutting project is now
complete, and these rolls can be enjoyed by everyone. This is with
exception of one of the four rolls, roll number 4. We were not successful
in locating one to have Mike Grant recut. If anyone finds a copy of
that roll that Mike could copy, that would be greatly appreciated!
The rolls can be ordered now, from recutter Mike Grant:
Mike Grant

tel.: 260-248-8288
Mike does not have email.
The three rolls, volumes 1-3 are available separately, or as a set.
The price is $40.00 per roll. A portion of this is being donated to
the talented arranger, Tom Meijer, in thanks of arranging these
wonderful rolls.
The recutting has been limited to only 16 copies of each roll, so
get your orders in to Mike quickly, as there are already about 9-10
presales.
Many thanks to those that made this project possible: Tom Meijer,
Marion Roehl, Mike Grant, and Bruce Miller. It will be great to have
the best ever arrangements on a 150 roll passing over our tracker bars.
