I have recently come across a (restyled) Knabe Ampico upright in
easily restorable condition, the 'innards' having never been rebuilt.
Unfortunately, the owner seem intent on simply sending it out in the
trash. He knows it has 'some' value, but is not willing to have it
around any longer.
Now, here is my problem: I certainly do not have room for any more
pianos around my house, there being eight of them now. However,
I cannot seem to stop myself from trying to save this piano from it's
sad, premature, and undeserved death (and a very unpleasant one at
that <grin>).
How do I convince myself that I cannot take on every orphan that comes
along? Or am I really all that silly for even thinking about it?
Regards,
John W Miller
[ Yeah, I have the same problem; they're like homeless cats! ;-)
