Wurlitzer 157 at Dorney Park, Allentown, PA
By Bill Luca

I've heard that Dorney Park has acquired a Wurlitzer Style 157 band
organ. I have received a tape of this machine, which does seem to be
a 157. This is not to be confused with the Wurlitzer 153 and Dentzel
carousel which was moved from Cedar Point to Dorney when Cedar Point
acquired Dorney Park.

When Dorney had its PTC Carousel, which was lost by fire, it also had
a Gavioli organ with a facade which was similar to Wurlitzer's 157
facade and was factory converted to duplex 165 rolls, but this also
was lost in the fire.

Does anyone from the Allentown area have any knowledge of this?

Bill Luca
