Passing of Dean Randall.
I'm sorry to report that fellow MMDer Dean Randall passed away on
February 23, 2003, at his home in Tacoma, Washington.
It's unfortunate that we lose another good guy, but I imagine he is
enjoying his new found freedom from the ever increasing physical
restrictions that he had been living with the last year, as his health
was failing.
After suffering a massive heart attack earlier in the week, he was
taken home from the hospital in a coma, and attended by his good buddy
and partner of many years, and close friends, until he finally let go
of his body on Sunday.
I met Dean through MMD some years ago and we had a lot of fun on-line,
swapping stories and jokes and technical information. He was a great
help to me when I attempted my first repinning of my piano.
Dean was a really cool guy with lots of smarts, was a real fount of
information, and had a great sense of humor. I'm sure many people will
miss the knowledge, the fun and the entertainment he brought to our
lives.
I hope other MMDers who knew Dean will contribute some of their memories
of the good times they had with Dean. I believe he was involved with
Play-Rite some years ago.
Knowing Dean, I'm sure he is having a good time and glad to be free of
the old body that was getting to be so problematical the last year.
We will miss you, but enjoy your freedom, buddy!
