Spool Frames, Pulleys & Pumps at MMD Tech Site
By Robbie Rhodes

A new web page, about the spool frames and other large mechanical
components of nickelodeons and orchestrions, is now at

  http://mmd.foxtail.com/Tech/SpoolF/index.html

Don Teach contributed several photos of instruments in his collection
and I took some photos in So. Calif. collections.

Among the photos is an unknown spool frame with helical gears (silent
but expensive!) installed in a calliope. Another oddity is a Coinola
A-roll cabinet piano equipped with a _wooden_ cone pulley to adjust
the play tempo. More contributions are welcomed.
