112-Key Gavioli Organs in UK

[ This message is apparently in reply to Ben Jackson's request
[ for information in 020131 MMD, "Seek History Of Gavioli & Cie"

Try contacting the Fair Organ Preservation Society. They may help via
books, etc. Gavioli started in Italy and moved to France, where they
had their main factory.

There are two 112-key Gaviolis in the world: "White's Mammoth",
operated by the society, and the other is owned by Richard Preston, of
the haulage firm Richard Preston & Son Ltd., of Potto, North Yorkshire.

Click on to Morgan's Rally Diary, http://www.morgansdiary.clara.net/
They supply the steam rally dates in northern England. At Masham,
North Yorkshire, is an organ and steam rally.

 [ Visit http://www.ygrainger.freeserve.co.uk/index.htm which describes
[ "The 38th Masham Steam Engine and Fair Organ Rally, Saturday and
 [ Sunday 19th & 20th July 2003."
 [
[ Jeremy Brice wrote about the White Bros. Gavioli in 990411 MMDigest:
[ "Although still owned by the descendants of Sidney White, since 1954
[ it has been looked after by the late George Parmley and friends who
[ formed the Show Organ Society specifically to restore and travel it."
