MAPSA = MAP S.A. of Switzerland
By Matthew Caulfield

The answer to almost any mechanical music question is (or soon will be)
in the MMD Archives. The MMD for 2000.06.19 contains the answer to the
MAPSA question. Of course it isn't "MAPSA" though, but "MAP S.A."
S.A. is the French abbreviation for Societe anonyme, the French
equivalent of our "Inc."

As for "Die Forelle," that is German for "The Trout" and must be either
the name of the object or, more likely, the title of the tune it plays.
