The announcement: "New book, "Waldkirch Street and Fairground Organs",
by Herbert Juettemann," reminds me that a thorough review of this book
has been done by Fred Dahlinger and is in the current issue of the
"Carousel Organ", the journal of the COAA which was put into the mail
yesterday for members. Fred's review of Andrew Pilmer's translation is
quite good as is Andrew's work itself.
This issue of the "Carousel Organ" (#14) contains interesting articles
by Matthew Caulfield on the tuning of your organ; one by Bill Edgerton
about his 89-key Gavioli as well as Fred Dahlinger's history on the
Royal American Show's 89-Gavioli which is now housed in Baraboo, and a
great article by Christian Greinacher on the Piano Melodico.
Information on obtaining "Carousel Organ" issues as well as membership
may be obtained from Marge Waters, Secretary at <Wawaters2@aol.com>
Happy New Year
