Barrel Piano by Diego Fuchs of Prague
By Edvard Pucer

-- non-subscriber, please reply to sender and MMD --

I have an old barrel orchestrion produced in Praha in 1909 by the firm
Diego Fuchs. My instrument is in bad condition and I want to restore
it. For this reason I want see an instrument like mine, made by the
same producer (Fuchs). I hope to find orchestrion made by Diego Fuchs
to restore the outside of the cabinet like original condition. I hear
from one person that the front door is a mirror, but that now doesn't
exist.

I visited many web pages to find more data about Orchestrionfabrik
Diego Fuchs, Prag. Also I visited two places in Slovenia, where they
have similar instruments like mine. A De Klepetar orchestrion is
situated in a guesthouse in the village Stara Fuzina near the lake
'Bohinjsko jezero'. This instrument isn't operating. Another De
Klepetar instrument is in the Iron Forging Museum in Kropa. This one
is operating but also it needs adjustment and repair of the piano parts.

I hope that you can help me to find another instrument like mine, and
also more information about Orchestrionfabrik Diego Fuchs. Where is
it possible to find any documentation about the music machine?

Best regards and Merry Christmas and happy New Year!
