Mystery Nickelodeon is Western Electric
By Don Teach
[ The thoughtful analysis by Andrew Barrett reminded me to
[ ask Don if he viewed the "mystery nickelodeon" photos at

I wrote to Rich Allen and told him what he had. It is a Western
Electric piano but the overlay plate with the name was removed.
The serial number is too early for a race horse model.
The front post is off a Seeburg K or KT. The wreath on top is from
a Coinola Cupid maybe; the picture's not good enough for me to tell.
The roll frame and pump are Western Electric. The roll frame is
missing the part that locks it into the rewind position. I can send
pictures of the two styles Western Electric used if you need them.
With a new case he could have a nice Western Electric Mascot model.
I couldn't see the player stack but I would hope it is still there.
