Hello, In a bunch of 88-note piano rolls that I recently purchased
through eBay, there is a rather nice medley roll from the earlier years
of the last century.
Most of the leader was missing as was the original label. I recognise
the roll as being from American issued Aeolian/ Universal, it being a
selection of nine songs or tunes from Broadway shows; sounds to me like
it could be a George Swift or Herman Avery Wade arrangement.
Fortunately , a previous owner from long ago had written on the remains
of the leader:
99335 Gay Broadway / comic opera hits / 1912
I would be most grateful if anyone who has this roll could send me a
scan of the roll label, so I can finish the "restoration" of this
delightful musical gem !
