Steinway V/P
By Rob Buckingham

Hello All, I recently got an upright Steinway "V/P" made in 1914.
It is (actually was, as it is gutted) a temponomic (Themodist?). Does
this mean it is a style V type player? I have heard that there may be
a historian at Steinway that has access to original sale info. Is this
true?

Secondly, I have been wondering about differences in the quality of dry
hot glue. The stuff I have purchased from the leather supply house
seems to last longer than Schaff's. I can give no information on
strength but, obviously, I am interested in this as well.

Lastly, on his web site D.L. Bullock talks about re-crowning soundboards.
Does anyone, Mr. Bullock included, have any information about this
practice?

Wishing everyone a wonderful holiday season,

Rob Buckingham
