Dear Susan, Per your inquiry, I am heavily involved with the Illinois
Railway Museum, for 38 years now, mostly as head of the track and
signal departments. I also served as President for many years, and was
a director for perhaps fifteen years. Of course, IRM is a major player
in (real) steam with about 30 locomotives. I have also written and
published several books on interurbans and streetcars.
I have seven orchestrions at my home including a Phonoliszt-Violina,
a Welte Cottage, a Philipps Jazz band, an American Photoplayer,
a single Mills, a Cremona, and a Western Electric.
