Band Organ at Six Flags Park in Agawam, MA
By William Griswold Jr.

Hello MMDers, I am a season pass holder for Six Flags New England and
have been for several years now. I find it quite interesting to hear
about a player piano in the park near the Houdini ride as I have never
seen it.

As for the 146B Wurlitzer organ, the park still has it in their
possession, from what I heard last. It's been sitting in one of the
maintenance sheds across from the carousel. I agree that both
instruments should be restored, considering the organ hasn't been on
the carousel since the park moved the ride to it's present location.
The organ hasn't played since the late 1980's or early 90's.

As for the piano, I don't know anything as, like I said, I haven't seen
it yet. I will definitely look for it next year, as I already have my
season pass. If they won't restore the instruments, they should at
least sell them to enthusiasts who will have them restored and played.
(I would love to get my hands on the organ.)

Musically,
Bill Griswold Jr.
