This is regarding the recent postings about music boxes Thomas Edison
may have made. Although I don't have an answer either, those dying to
know should inquire of the Henry Ford Museum and Greenfield Village in
Dearborn, MI.
Why them? Henry Ford and Thomas Edison were fast friends in their
lifetime, and much of this institution is essentially a memorial to
Edison (who died in 1931). The Village contains a highly authentic
reconstruction of Edison's Menlo Park, New Jersey, laboratories --
essentially the first research laboratory in the USA, from which Edison
turned out over a thousand inventions.
The complex opened the Benson Ford Research Center earlier this year,
open to the public to research the accomplishments of both these
talented individuals. See the web site at http://www.hfmgv.com/
