Thanks to Harold Lohner, Aeolian Company's "Roosevelt" type font
is now available for free download. This font is the elegant early
Craft Movement lettering used on Aeolian pipe organ nameplates, rocker
tablets, and stop knobs, as well as in some Aeolian Company advertising
literature and roll box labels.
Click on http://www.haroldsfonts.com Click 'enter', then 'R', then
'Roosevelt' to open the download page. Both Windows TrueType and
Mac Type 1 font formats are available.
If you have to replicate Aeolian nameplates, or just use this elegant
and stylish type style for any contemporary mechanical music literature,
this is the font to have. One way to use it to make new organ
nameplates is shown at http://mmd.foxtail.com/Tech/Cellu/index.html
