"Ragtime" Bob Darch at Virginia City, Nevada
By Steve Bentley

Having read the article on Bob Darch, it didn't mention his playing
days at Virginia City, Nevada. I have some ragtime pieces with his
name and place of the above stamped on the front covers. Can anyone
tell me in what years he played there? I estimate the late 1950s to
early 1960s.

I might mention that my last visit there was in June, and Squeek Steel
(along with a banjo player) was playing good ragtime in the "Bucket Of
Blood" saloon!

 [ summer 1955. -- Robbie
