Hi Don, Are you sure the piano will be more salable without the player
action? Is that assuming you reduce the price or because the player
action simply scares people off? I would have a really hard time
parting it out unless I knew someone who could use the player action.
I suppose it is silly to get too sentimental about originality (unless
it's a really rare piece).
Still, if you are going to knock down the price, maybe try doing it
before pulling the player guts. Or perhaps advertise it without
mentioning it's a player. If people then come to look you can say,
"Oh, by the way, it comes with this neat feature." You just might hook
someone who's never seen a player play...
