Music Roll Dust Accumulates in Spool Box
By Bryant Stott

I really enjoyed John Tuttle's post about Pedal Pumpers and Children.
I have made it a practice to devote one of my days off each week to
a roll pumping session of two to three hours ever since I got my 1912
Henry F. Miller back into functioning condition in 1969.

One problem I have always encountered is the accumulation of roll
dust in the spoolbox after each session. The inside of the spoolbox
is a natural finish and quite shiny, so the dust shows up rather well.
I always end each session by vacuuming out the spoolbox with the
crevice attachment on my Electrolux model XXX. Do any of you MMDrs
that also play rolls on a regular basis have this problem, and if so
how do you handle it?
