Regulating Key Dip & Hammer Blow Distance
By Steve Greatrex

Hi MMd's, Does anyone know what the correct depth of touch and the
distance from the hammer tip to the string should be on a 1924 Steinway
Model "O" PEDA grand?

Some people have said that player grands are set-up in a different way
to standard pianos, and some have said the modern pianos are also
different. Is this true? And is there any change to these measurements
if the hammers have been replaced or refaced, assuming that we are
still trying to achieve the 5:1 ratio?
