I found an old electric player motor that I'd like to know, if
possible, any information about it. Possibly it came from a German
player, and there is no available information that I can find.
The label mark [maker] is a DKG, model 4, 110 VAC, 2 Amp.,
42 Per (cycles), 1400 umrd (rotations), 1/4 horsepower. It's an
induction brushless motor.
Any information about this motor or this mark are welcome.

[ Maybe the motor was made in Germany for export abroad, since the
[ mains voltage 110 VAC is common in USA and Canada. Assuming that
[ it's a 4-pole induction motor, the nameplate frequency of
[ 42 Hz (cycles per second) implies speed 1200 rpm. A 50 Hz motor
[ would spin about 1450 rpm. Strange... -- Robbie
