Deagan Chimes Tower On Santa Catalina Island
By Eliyahu Shahar

The Deagan chimes tower was a gift to the City of Avalon by Mrs. Ada
Wrigley in 1925. It is 45 feet tall and was modeled after a Moroccan
tower. The chimes are rung in a Westminster fashion on the quarter hour
and can also be played with a manual keyboard for special occasions.
Originally the tower was open, but later they enclosed the side away
from the city of Avalon.

Somewhere I've got a postcard of the Deagan Chimes Tower in Santa
Catalina Island but I couldn't find it at home (it may be at my
parent's home).
