[ Kathy Cochran wrote in 020805 MMDigest, "I have a music box
[ bracelet which plays "The Anniversary Song", which was written
[ by Al Jolson back in 1946."
I don't want to be a New Zealand nitpicker, _but_ Al Jolson's classic
recording of "The Anniversary Song" in a vocal version (featured in
the film "The Jolson Story" and released in 1946 with words and music
credited to Al Jolson and Saul Chaplin) was not written by Jolson.
The words were added to the waltz "Donauwellen" ("Danube Waves")
written in 1886 by Josef Ivanovici. (And, in passing, available as
a Stinson organ roll.)

[ It's sad that publishers don't give credit when the composer's
