Piano Moving With Forward Air
By Galen Bird

Shipping of Piano: I shipped a piano, that weighed 489 pounds with
crating, from Kansas City to Miami for $169.54 with Forward Air, Inc.
Everything has to be on a pallet rack. You have to deliver the item
to them and it has to be picked up at Forward Air. They do not pick up
or deliver to houses. I used about $20 in straps and crating material.
I have sent other small pianos this way before with good results.

The new owner called and lived one block from their warehouse. Their
charge is around $28 per 100 pounds plus tax & misc.
