Piano Roll Rips While Rewinding
By Frank Adams

For all those who have player pianos: Do you have problems tearing up
your rolls on reroll?

This is Frank Adams, formerly of AMR. Pull off the left spool end
of each roll and wrap one layer of tape around the left spool end
flange. On really loose flanges put two layers. Now you can put the
flange onto the core and it will fit tightly. Pull the left flange
out about 1/8 inch from the edge of the roll. This is the best method.
