Self-playing Ukulele Built of LEGO Blocks
By Thomas Henden

I just read about this project at http://www.slashdot.org/
It's just for fun, but after all it's a self-playing ukulele
made with LEGO!

It's primitive and crude and it just plays some reggae chords;
according to its makers it's somehow working. :-)

Did you know, by the way, technical LEGO pieces are used by
students worldwide to make robots and other things in connection
with their technical education? Perhaps other mechanical instruments
can be made successfully with LEGO! :-D

Read more about the automated ukulele at

Regards
Thomas Henden, Oslo, Norway

 [ Developers Jarvis Lagman and Michael Rimoin are first year
 [ students at Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont, USA.
