Enigmatic Pneumatics On Some Ampico A Actions
By D. L. Bullock

I have a question for those of you who know. I have two Ampicos with
a 1" x 1" pneumatic mounted on the top side of the so-called spring
pneumatic attached to the main expression valve. That is the pneumatic
that is controlled by the crescendo pneumatic and it pushes against the
three small intensity pneumatics. This tiny 1x1 pneumatic counteracts
the action of the crescendo pneumatic.

Like I said, I have two pianos with these pneumatics and 6 Ampicos
without them. I need to know what they connect to since the tubing was
toast when I got to the pianos. I am guessing they probably connect
to the soft pedal pneumatic but I am not sure they would be desirable.
These pneumatics are not mentioned in any of my Ampico manuals.

Where do they connect and how are they regulated?
