Fairground Organ in "Jeeves & Wooster" DVD
By Julie Porter
I was pleasantly surprised to find a whole sequence in the A&E
production of "Jeeves and Wooster" to be set in a small English
country fair. It is in the latter half of the episode entitled
"The Purity of the Turf".
What makes it all the more interesting is there is a showman's engine
and a roundabout (turning in the proper English direction). To add
to the fun there is actual band organ music playing throughout the
sequence.
This is now out on DVD so one can freeze-frame the scenes in question.
