Actually, one of the biggest $$$ advocates for the Bono Copyright
Extension Act was Disney. If Eldred v. Ashcroft goes to Eldred,
"Snow White" will be among the new additions to the public domain.
At least, for a while. "Public domain" has become a very dirty word
around Congress. Most of those bleeping fools really do think they are
doing everyone a favor by all but getting rid of it.
And remember folks, even if Eldred wins, it'll still be illegal to try
to break a copy-protection device to copy a work -- even if that work
is in the public domain. DMCA. Your tax dollars at work.
