Spencer and Rick have kindly expressed a very public thanks for the
manner in which I responded to a couple of transactions between us,
something for which I am very grateful and admit to a very pink
blush... :-) However, what I did for them is absolutely nothing more
than I would have expected others to do for me if our roles had been
reversed. I did not feel I was doing anything particularly special.
With all the horror stories we have been seeing on MMD over time about
poor or uncertain support and service, Rick is quite correct in his
observation, "... how quickly do we hand out a well deserved 'Atta Boy'?"
Surely there are others out there who provide good support and service
for which nothing is ever mentioned. Perhaps this might be a good time
to respond to Rick's challenge and relate for all of us the positive
experiences we have enjoyed from various suppliers.
Let me begin by offering a sincere compliment to the folks at the
Player Piano Company in Wichita, KS. I've been buying their products
now for some 30 years and cannot recall a single concern I may have
had in all that time. I am aware that others from time to time have
expressed on MMD some concern or other about a specific transaction
with PPCo, but that does not surprise me. Durrell never promised he
would be infallible all the time. Nobody is infallible; everybody will
make mistakes from time to time, but hopefully few.
So, who out there can tell us about an incident or generally favorable
experience with various suppliers. Surely there are some great stories
out there. Thoughts of others?
Regards,
Terry Smythe
