Hi Folks, I have read, with interest, the ongoing discussion of the
PowerRoll delivery delays. I was recently involved in a situation
that took ten years before the product was delivered. So I can share
the frustrations that such situations can provide.
However, when we have great service from a first-class seller and
gentleman (or lady), how quickly do we hand out a well deserved
"Atta Boy"? Many of us jumped quickly when Terry Smythe offered to
sell his lifetime collection of Duo-Art reproducer rolls. Fortunately,
Terry and I reached an agreement within minutes of his MMD offer.
The deal was absolutely outstanding. The price was great,
communications were perfect; packing and shipping were incredible and
the professionalism was "unreal." To top it all off, Terry provided
his complete Excel spread sheet of his collection that I used to
incorporate my 150 rolls already on hand. Surprisingly, there were
only eight duplicates between his collection and mine. Fortunately,
Terry has much better taste than those on eBay from whom I purchased
my collection.
So, Terry Smythe -- "Atta Boy!" It is a professional like you that
makes the mechanical music business so much fun. It encourages us all
to do what we can to preserve these wonderful instruments for the
