MBSI Organ Rally, St. Paul, MN, 19 May 2002
By Tom Kuehn

As members of the aptly named Snowbelt Chapter of the MBSI dig out
from six more inches of spring moisture, we would like to accelerate
the arrival of summer by announcing Mechanical Melodies by Lake Como
to be held from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, May 19 at Como Park in
St. Paul, MN.

Small items such as music boxes and organettes will be located in
the Lake Como Pavilion while street organs and band organs will be
scattered along walking paths on the west side of the lake. The event
is free and open to the public. We have had appreciative crowds in
previous years and expect a good turnout this year as well.

Other attractions in the Park include the recently restored PTC #33
carousel with its Wurlitzer 153 band organ, the wild animal zoo and
the beautiful conservatory. For those unfamiliar with the location,
the Lake Como Pavilion is 2 miles north of Interstate 94 on Lexington
Parkway in St. Paul. We look forward to visiting with some of our MMD
friends during this event.
