Book "Coping with Pianos" by Alfred Brendel
By Julian Dyer

Picking up on recent threads, some insight from a great pianist on
the subject of pianos can be found in Alfred Brendel's book, "Musical
Thoughts & Afterthoughts", in the fascinating 1974 essay, "Coping with
pianos". This can be found at
http://www.geocities.com/Vienna/2192/essays7.html

Brendel clearly doesn't hold many tuners, technicians or modern piano
makers in high regard!
