Hello everybody: I am looking for an original electric pump from the
bottom of an Aeolian or Steinway Upright. Aeolian used an unusual
method of mounting the motor on these Duo-Art Uprights with the
conventional "box" pump with four pneumatics and a large flywheel,
(as opposes to the early "steamboat" pump). This box pump is powered
by a motor that rests on two 1/4" steel rods bent into a semicircle,
and these two rods are flexible enough to absorb motor vibration noise.
At best, I would like to buy just the two spring rods, but I will
buy the entire assembly of pump and motor, and even if I cannot find
originals of these rods, I hope somebody send in take the dimensions
of them, so my friend Robert Streicher, a tool-and-die machinist can
duplicate them for me. You can contact me directly at Aeolian at
nyc.rr.com, using the @ symbol instead of the word "at"
