FS: Lot of Recut Wurlitzer 165 Band Organ Rolls
By Ed Gaida

I received an email about two weeks ago from an individual looking to
sell about 100 Wurlitzer 165 band organ rolls. They are re-cuts done
by Play-Rite. According to the owner they have never been played; they
are new in the boxes. I ran the list by Matthew Caulfield since I know
next to nothing about band organ rolls and their numbers, etc.

The rolls with two numbers separated by a hyphen are actually two
Wurlitzer 6-tune rolls made into a composite 12-tune roll. Rolls in
the 68XX series are program rolls made up by Play-Rite. Here is what
Matthew had to say about them:

"The rolls in the 6800's from 6800 to 6819 are "program rolls," rolls
made up by Play-Rite by combining tunes taken from Wurlitzer/T.R.T.
rolls numbered below 6800 and having a certain theme, like "Sousa
Marches" or "Girls' Roll" (where all the tunes have a girl's name
in the title) or "Father John's Favorites" (tunes that John Malone
likes). None of the tunes on these rolls are unique; they all appear
  on other 165 rolls."

This is an all or nothing offering -- no picking or choosing. They are
offered as a lot. Price includes packing, but shipping and insurance
are extra. The rolls will be shipped from Central Texas.

The price is $60.00 per roll. Total will depend on the actual number
of rolls. If you see duplicate numbers in the list, it means that
there ARE duplicates of those rolls. It is not a typographical error.

Email your questions and I will try to answer them. Here is the list
of roll numbers:
