French Polishing

I used this method about 20 years ago to restore the finish on
a Mason & Risch Vocalion due to the fact that the original decals were
"lost" under the alligatored skin.  It still looks like new today.

That is an application where I would consider French polishing more
than just a quick (but laborious) alternative to a new finish.  Those
decals are worth saving!
