Added Value of Player Mechanism
By Terry Robson

In our retail piano business, we've found that a player mechanism of
any kind in a piano to be a detriment to selling the instrument.

If the same instrument, for example, your Chickering, were on the floor
without a player, it would most likely sell within a month or so,
perhaps quicker. With a player, it could literally sit there for years.

There is such a small market for players that I feel a player can
actually detract from the value of an instrument not add to it.
