I have been hosting my site at Geocities.com since the very beginning.
Once they encouraged hits, but now they are turning off my site for an
hour at a time during the day because I'm exceeding the allowance of
file transfer [bytes]. I have the free service and I have decided to
move all the actual files to my ISP server.
If you have linked to my files, be sure to check them and see if they
are working; if not, you may have this address:
http://www.Geocities.com/heartland/ranch/9374/*.*
You need to change the hyperlink to
http://www.Geocities.com/anneharris1/*.*
If you link to my RealAudio files please let me know.
I'm really thinking about signing up with a cable modem service and
then I'm thinking about getting a computer to host my own site. What
are your recommendations? Is it better to pay for the hosting service
or to host it yourself? Private correspondence is probably preferred
unless directed otherwise by the editor.

[ Please write to Sam about your experience and recommendations
[ and then Sam can send a summary report to MMDigest. (By the
[ way, I feel that the free web pages at Geocities.com are too
[ overloaded with advertising for my slow Internet connection,
[ so I simply don't visit Geocities pages any more!) -- Robbie
