I have a 1936 Chickering Ampico B with an older rebuild. The treble
plays too softly since the drier weather, but the bass plays fine.
Is there a regulation to increase the minimum volume of the treble end?
This model has the trombone-like 1st Intensity slide and not the two
big set-screws. It seems to have enough suction.

[ There is a small needle valve at a machined elbow entering the
[ regulator chamber; it might be clogged, or possibly an intensity
[ valve pouch has split. Check the suction at the stack and compare
[ with the data at the MMD Tech site,

[ In the dry winter I adjust the needle valves on my piano for best
[ performance with the 1st Intensity adjuster slide all the way out
[ (maximum air flow). Then, when the humidity increases, the slide
[ may be pushed in to compensate. -- Robbie
