Dear readers, My wife and I just returned from three wonderful days
in Pennsylvania. Our first stop was Keystone Music Roll Co., which has
now moved into much larger and better facilities. We had a great tour
and came home with at least another dozen rolls, which will be played
in the next couple days.
While there, Rich Groman also showed us a terrific hollow punch that
was made in England and used to be available through Player Piano Co.
in Kansas. Does anyone know where such a punch can be procured?
It is spring loaded and looks much like a center punch, except that
the point is hollow. It comes with several points of different sizes,
which can be interchanged. It is really terrific for making repairs on
rolls. I tried his and fell in love with the little, fountain pen
sized tool.
