Orchestrelle Converted to Play 88-note Rolls
By Berley Firmin

Hello all and Merry Christmas, In 1986 I bought an Orchestrelle from
Doyle Lane. It had been converted to play 88-note rolls. A brass
tracker bar had been fitted in the spoolbox and new chucks and a
take-up spool were installed. The blowing apparatus had, too, been
removed.

To this day I wish I could do bodily harm to this idiot. It took me
years to restore the Orchestrelle to original condition. *Please,
please, please,* do not subject someone to this!

Berley Firmin

P.S.: I don't believe it was Doyle Lane who had done this, but he
doesn't remember the organ when I contacted him last summer about its
provenance.
