Piano Roll Cabinet on Top of the Player Piano
By Sam Harris

Dean Randall questioned the manner in which the roll cabinet would
work. The original post was unclear by stating it would look like
an original extended cabinet. This was misleading. The plan is to
construct a _small_ cabinet which will cover the same area as the piano
top. It will not be physically attached, just sitting there. Next
question is how high? No more than 20 inches. I want two shelves on
which one could store rolls stacked 3-high. I'm not talking about a
wardrobe here!

Then Mr. Bruce had the idea I was going to _butcher_ a perfectly
good piano. Well, it seems as though Bruce does not know me very well.
The point has been made that the original post was misleading and one
can see why Bruce would get all tense. Be at ease, there is no plan to
alter a perfectly good piano and then stick a God-awful contraption on
top. I'm just creating something attractive and functional to be used.

I do like the toilet idea! :-) That would make good use of a bed side
unit I have in storage!
