Piano Roll Cabinet on Top of the Player Piano
By Dean Randall

In MMDigest 011218 Sam Harris writes that he plans to build a roll
storage cabinet to sit on top of the piano case.

Perhaps I'm missing something in the picture. I have in my mind of
this roll storage cabinet, but I have to wonder, how exactly do you
then plan to get a tuning hammer in there? My shortest tuning hammer
is just over 11" long and, to be comfortable, I find I need about 18"
clearance above the top row of tuning pins.

Are you intending to remove this roll cabinet for tuning? Wouldn't it
be kind of heavy?
